Classic Pickup's ~ Birthday Card

Happy first day of Spring!

While it's still snowy outside my window, I'm going to let Spring reign inside my heart.  I can't wait for the temperatures to heat up here in Wisconsin so I can pull out some Spring clothes!

Well, I did pull out a few fun stamps...

I needed a Birthday card for my dear Brother and I pulled out an old classic ~ Classic Pickup's!  This stamp set is so great for my "Man" cards.  You can't go wrong with an old truck.

Here's a look at the full stamp set ~

I decided to keep this card simple (hard for me to do!) and just roughed up the edges a bit and added a quick ribbon.  I didn't want too much embellishment ~ since I wanted a "Manly" look!

I went with a simple design – just a base, designer paper and banner.  I stamped on the banner, put it together and added a ribbon.
I took me under 5 minutes.

I had the supplies on hand, but a card like this costs me pennies to make.  Making your own cards is so much more personal ~ and cost effective.
The Classic Pickup’s stamp set is retired and no longer available.  Here’s a great substitute ~ Countryside

Check this out.  I've pinned a few samples made with Countryside to my Pinterest ~ Stampin' Up! board.

Supplies: Classic Pickup’s (retired) – Substitute: Countryside, Very Vanilla Cardstock, First Edition Designer Series Paper, Midnight Muse Ink Pad, Midnight Muse Stitched Ribbon, Mono Adhesive (All supplies available through my Shop Now button on the sidebar)
Here are a few of my popular posts ~ Off White, On White ~ French Neutrals card and this one with a Pattern for a Spring Brulap Pennant.

I hope you will continue looking today and check out my Where I Party page for lots of DIY and Crafting fun!
