Okay, back to my yummy breakfast cake ~
Let’s Get Started!
2 Cups Milk
2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1 teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Strawberries, sliced in half (frozen or fresh)
1/2 block of Cream Cheese, cut into small cubes
Optional: Top with Sliced Strawberries and Vanilla Yogurt
Use a 9×9 baking pan. Pour in melted butter, set aside.
In a mixing bowl, add all dry ingredients and stir with wire whisk to mix well.
Add in the liquid ingredients and whisk to combine and remove lumps.
Pour into baking pan (on top of melted butter).
Add strawberries and cream cheese chunks dropping them in over the top of the batter; spread out to cover the top.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 35 minutes (until toothpick comes out dry).
Set aside to cool for 10-15 minutes.
It’s even better with some vanilla yogurt and fresh strawberries added on top.
We are vegan and gluten free, so I use soy milk, vegan margarine gf flour and no eggs. It still come out delish! I hope you give this a try and enjoy. Do you have a go-to Sunday Morning breakfast? I’d love to hear about it so leave me a comment.
