When the weather turns warmer it’s a great time to get out and enjoy the sun. There are so many fun things to do like camping, movies in the park and grilling out with friends.
And when you live in Chicago there are festivals or block parties every weekend. It is so much fun to get out and enjoy the nice weather and listen to great music!
But no matter what you are doing, there is nothing better than a nice refreshing margarita on a hot summer night. There is just something about the tart lime and salty rim ~ yum!
Mixing up a pitcher (or blender) is pretty quick and easy. I recently found these great popsicle pouches to store the left overs. And the best part is that now I have some Margarita Popsicles to take on the go! (Note: I used the Zipzicle Zip Top Pop Pouch but there are lots of sizes and quantities to choose from.)
I bet you’d like to make some of your own. Here’s what to do:
Quick & Easy Margarita Popsicle Recipe
1-1/2 C Ice
1-1/2 C Margarita Mix (all in one)
¼ C Orange Juice
Lime Slices (optional)
Sea Salt (garnish)
- Add ice to blender
- Pour in the margarita mix and orange juice.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into popsicle wrappers, dust with sea salt then seal.
- Freeze overnight if possible; they may not get fully frozen.
These were so quick and easy to make. I prefer my margarita to be more classic; nothing fancy. Even though I froze them overnight, they didn’t really freeze solid. I think that is fine, though, since you really want a slushier popsicle. Just be careful if you plan to take these on a long trip.
Summer is a great time to get out and enjoy the sun with friends and family. I hope you will give these Quick and Easy Margarita Popsicles a try. I’m sure that you (and your friends) will love them as much as I do!
